In 2008, a special convocation was held at the University of Washington to bestow an honorary degree on the Dalai Lama in recognition of his worldwide efforts for peace, compassion, and the Tibetan people. I was asked to create a set of event collateral that would support this once-in-a-lifetime special event at the UW. Collateral included event invitations, programs, tickets, an event PowerPoint, email and web/social media graphics, and signage.
It was a special honor to be involved in this project, and meeting Lama Tenzin, the Dalai Lama's media officer at the time, was one of the highlights for me. The event was held on-campus inside a completely packed Hec Edmundson Pavilion.
